OVERVIEW
CONCEPT
The Symbiotic World is an interactive art installation that allows people to interact with paper sculpture models through gestures to control the changes of lights, thus calling on them to protect wild animals.
INTRODUCTION
In this interactive art installation, users can perceive the changes of human influence on wildlife life through gesture control of lights. I incorporated emotional psychological hints into the design to arouse people's awareness of animal protection, reminding people that caring for animals is also the protection of our common earth home.

CHALLENGE
Nowadays, there are many public-interest advertisements and posters, appealing people to protect wild animals. They are used to call for the protection of endangered wildlife with clear ideas, low input cost, large display span and high visibility. However, they are lack interaction with people, and their presentation forms are too common and outdated to stimulate people’s senses and interests. Most people forget them soon after watching them.
RESEARCH
BACKROUND
Nowadays, the number of wild animals is declining sharply. A big reason for this is overhunting. Many wild animals have become extinct or on the verge of extinction due to the increasing illegal wildlife trade. Humans have also paid a terrible price. Many infectious diseases in history have been caused by human consumption of wild animals. Whether it's SARS in 2003 or Coronavirus outbreak in 2020, it may have something to do with human consumption of wild animals such as bats, civets, and pangolins.
